Here’s the deal: In the end I will ask you again the question that constitutes the title of this article, but, before of that read the article in order to see the context. I mean, the correct context on which I expect you to answer.
Here an interesting question I managed to answer: What do you buy from your sponsor in the first place?
You buy (a.k.a. pay for) the opportunity. Not the products. Yes it’s true. (Ok, you adhere into him, into his opportunity but that’s not what you buy, let’s be clear on that). Yes you see an “opportunity” for passive income, or for helping people look beautiful. That means you, basically, buy the “selling process” itself. You do not want only to use the products or services in an MLM business.
And, by the way, that’s what MLM companies want you to buy, something that makes you speak about, spread the word about. In that very moment you become the buyer of the idea of “selling” something in exchange of a commission. More than that, you will earn commission not only on the product you sell, but also on the products your “downline” sells. Right? This means you start to sell the selling to the others. And so the viral “word of mouth” advertising process is triggered into your relatives and circle of influence.
Getting back to your sponsor, he’s selling you the selling itself.
On that initial moment did you wanted to be a sales person? Do you really enjoy selling? Hunting? Harassing?
Do you really want to be a “sales” person? Many of the MLMers do not enjoy selling or hunting. That’s why 95% of MLMers fail so miserably.
Then why did you bought the opportunity, in the first place? Here’s the crude truth in form of few becauses:
Because you knew, liked and trusted the person who introduced you in this opportunity (KLT factors were met). Right?
Misunderstanding. Many of MLMers enter into the business because they want a job, when instead this is really a business. You have to be creative, you have to switch into entrepreneurial state of mind.
Half truths. Many “details” were left off when you’ve been sold. Some say “Evil reside in the details”
Pasive income. You wanted more and easier money. Everybody wants more money. No doubt of that. However there is no such thing as easy money.
Ok. You entered the business. You started to make lists. To call them, invite them and so on. There was a little problem: they were not in this “movie”!
What the sponsor did in this case? Did he helped you? Because 95% fail chances are he didn’t effectively helped you.
Do you have noticeable results? (a.k.a. making a living on that) If the answer is no, than you definitely should change something. Similar actions lead to similar results.
Start to be different. Start to do some internet marketing, promoting yourself. It doesn’t matter how you do it. Just do it. You’ll learn by doing it.
Start to do attraction marketing. Stop being needy and greedy. Create something that gives value, that attracts people, stop what not repels them.
Start to duplicate the understanding of principles, not the mechanics, processes and persons.
Be yourself.
